About TaxiService.nyc
A licensed taxi and car service covering all five boroughs and three airports, 24 hours a day. Here is how we work, and what we will and will not claim.
TaxiService.nyc is a licensed New York taxi and car service. We cover Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, and all three airports, 24 hours a day including holidays.
What we do
Six things, dispatched from one operation:
- Metered and pre-booked taxis for everyday trips
- Pre-booked car service at a fixed price agreed before you travel
- Chauffeur hire by the hour or the day for multi-stop schedules
- Luxury and black car — unmarked executive sedans and premium SUVs
- Limousines for weddings, proms and celebrations
- Wheelchair accessible vehicles with ramps and four-point tie-downs
The bulk of our work is in the outer boroughs, where street hails are unreliable and booking ahead is the only dependable plan. That is deliberate — it is where the need is real.
Licensing and insurance
We operate under TLC licence {{TODO_TLC_LICENSE}}.
Every driver holds a current New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission licence. Getting one is not a formality. It requires a defensive driving course, a medical examination, drug testing, and criminal background checks run through both New York State and the FBI, with periodic re-screening after that.
Every vehicle is TLC-inspected on the Commission's schedule and carries the commercial insurance the licence requires.
How we price
One number, agreed before you travel, and it does not move.
Pre-booked trips are quoted on the route rather than the clock. If traffic is bad, that is our problem — the price you were given is the price you pay. Tolls and the driver's gratuity are included in the quote unless we tell you otherwise.
There is no surge multiplier. There never will be. A price that doubles because it started raining is not a price, it is an auction.
Metered trips run on the rates published by the TLC, which are identical in every yellow and green cab in the city and which no operator can vary.
Things we will not do
We think this is worth stating plainly, because the industry has a reputation.
We will not quote one price and charge another. The number you agree is the number.
We will not tell you to book when hailing is cheaper. Manhattan to JFK has a $70 metered flat fare that is genuinely hard to beat, and we say so on our own JFK pickups and drop-offs page. Short daytime Manhattan trips are usually cheaper by meter too. We would rather lose a booking than take one you did not need.
We will not upsell a vehicle you do not need. If four separate car trips would cost more than one chauffeur booking, we will say so. If a minivan does the job a stretch limousine is being asked to do, we will say that too.
We will not charge extra for an accessible vehicle. Ramp access is not a premium service. Our accessible rates match our standard rates for the same route, and metered accessible taxis are required to charge identical fares to any other cab.
We will not invent reviews. See below.
About the reviews page
Our reviews page is currently an empty template, and that is on purpose.
Writing fake testimonials is straightforward and a lot of sites do it. We would rather have an obviously empty page than invented names attached to invented quotes. When we have genuine reviews to publish, they will go there with the customer's permission.
If you have used us and want to leave feedback, the most useful place is our Google Business Profile, where the review is verifiable and attached to a real account.
Contact
Call (888) 652-7136 — answered 24 hours a day, by a person.
You can also use the booking form on any page. It opens WhatsApp with your trip details filled in so you can send them to us; nothing is stored on this website. Or email {{TODO_EMAIL}}.
For anything more involved — a corporate account, recurring medical transport, a wedding, a multi-day booking — call rather than using the form. Those are conversations, not form fields.
