Card or cash. Every licensed vehicle in New York City must accept credit and debit cards, and it is illegal for a driver to refuse one or claim the reader is broken. On a pre-booked trip you can settle with the driver or arrange payment when you confirm the booking.

On a pre-booked quote from us, yes — the driver's gratuity is in the price unless we tell you otherwise. In a metered taxi it is not: 15 to 20% is the New York norm and the card terminal will suggest amounts in that range. The driver keeps the whole tip either way.

Yes, on every airport booking, at no extra charge. Give us the flight number and we monitor the actual arrival time rather than the scheduled one. Land early and the driver is already there; land three hours late and there is no waiting charge and no phone call needed.

Sixty minutes on an airport pickup, measured from the actual landing time. Fifteen minutes on a city pickup. Beyond that we charge in 15-minute blocks at a rate quoted when you book, so there are no surprises.

Yes, at no charge, but we need notice. New York exempts taxis and for-hire vehicles from the child restraint law, so no vehicle carries a seat as standard and the seats live at our base rather than in every car. Tell us the child's age and weight when you book and we will fit a rear-facing seat, forward-facing seat or booster.

Yes — ramp-equipped vehicles where the passenger stays in their own chair, secured with a four-point tie-down plus a separate occupant restraint. They take a chair up to roughly 30 inches wide and 48 inches long, with combined passenger and chair weight up to about 800 lb. Tell us your chair's make and dimensions when you book so we can confirm it fits. There is no accessibility surcharge.

A standard sedan takes up to 4 passengers and about 2 large cases. A minivan takes up to 6 with 4 to 5 cases. An SUV takes up to 6 with 5 to 6 cases. A stretch limousine seats 6 to 8 comfortably. Judge by luggage rather than headcount — bags are usually what forces the upgrade.

Call or message us. Change or cancel a city trip with at least two hours' notice and there is no charge. Airport bookings need a little more notice because a vehicle is already held against your flight time. Limousine and event bookings have their own terms, which we tell you when you book.

No, and we will tell you when it is not. Manhattan to JFK has a $70 metered flat fare that is genuinely hard to beat. Short daytime trips within Manhattan are usually cheaper on the meter too. Booking wins on long trips, peak-hour trips, outer-borough pickups, anything to Newark, and any time certainty matters more than a few dollars.
