Reviews
This page is intentionally empty. We would rather show nothing than write testimonials nobody gave us.
We have not published any reviews here yet.
Writing convincing testimonials is easy. Invent three names, write three warm sentences, add five stars. A great many sites in this industry do exactly that, and you cannot tell from the outside.
So here is our position: we will not put a quote on this page that a real customer did not give us. When we have genuine feedback and permission to publish it, it goes here with the reviewer's name as they want it shown. Until then the page stays empty, which at least tells you something true.
Where to leave a review
If you have used us, the most useful place is our Google Business Profile. A review there is attached to a real Google account, carries a verified timestamp, and appears in search results and on Google Maps where other people will actually see it.
It is also the only place a review genuinely means anything. A quote on a company's own website is worth roughly what the company decided it should be worth.
About review markup
There is a schema type — AggregateRating and Review — that puts star ratings into search results. We have deliberately not implemented it, and the reasoning is worth explaining because you will be offered it by someone eventually.
Google does not show rich-result stars for self-serving review markup. In 2019 Google stopped displaying review snippets for reviews a business collects and publishes about itself. LocalBusiness self-serving reviews are specifically excluded. So the markup produces no stars, no visual difference in search, and no benefit.
Marking up reviews that do not exist risks a manual action. Structured data that misrepresents page content is a spam policy violation. The penalty — a structured data manual action — removes rich results across the whole site and takes a reconsideration request to lift. Traded against a feature Google will not display anyway, it is a bad bet at any odds.
Google Business Profile reviews are the thing that actually works. They appear in the local pack, on Maps, and in the knowledge panel. They are verified, they carry real weight in local ranking, and they cost nothing to collect. That is where review effort should go.
The schema is written and commented out in this page's source with the same explanation, so whoever maintains this site next does not helpfully "fix" it.
What we would rather be judged on
Not a testimonial. These:
- The price you are quoted is the price you pay, including tolls and gratuity.
- We tell you when hailing a cab is cheaper than booking us — the Manhattan–JFK flat fare being the obvious case.
- No surge pricing, ever.
- No surcharge for a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
- The phone is answered by a person, 24 hours a day.
Any of those is checkable. Call and test one.
