NYC Taxi & Cab Service
Metered yellow cabs and pre-booked taxis for everyday trips across the five boroughs.
licensed NYC cab ridesA professional driver assigned to you, staying with you between stops. For days where the schedule matters more than any single journey.
Some days are not a journey. They are eleven appointments across three boroughs, a lunch that overruns, a bag you cannot carry between them, and a 4pm that moves to 4:45 while you are still in the 2:30.
That is what a chauffeur service in NYC is for. You are not buying a trip. You are buying a driver and a vehicle for a block of time, and the flexibility to change your mind at 3pm without renegotiating anything.
A car service booking is a route: pickup, destination, done. A chauffeur booking is a period: the driver arrives at the start of it and stays until the end.
Between stops the car waits nearby. Your laptop bag, your samples, your overnight case stay in it. When the meeting overruns by forty minutes, nothing needs rebooking — the driver is already there.
| Car service | Chauffeur service | |
|---|---|---|
| Priced by | The route | The hour |
| Minimum | None | Three hours |
| Waiting between stops | Charged after 15 min | Included |
| Same driver throughout | One journey | The whole booking |
| Schedule changes | Rebook | Just tell the driver |
| Best for | Airport runs, single trips | Multi-stop days, roadshows |
If your day is one trip, book the car service — it is cheaper and we will say so.
Investor roadshows. Eight meetings, four buildings, a hard stop at the airport. The driver holds the schedule, knows which entrance has the shorter security queue, and repositions while you are inside.
Client collection. Meeting someone at JFK and taking them through a day of meetings before dinner. One vehicle, one driver, no gaps.
Conference weeks. Javits, the Hilton Midtown, the Sheraton — the same three-block radius all week, plus evening events in other boroughs.
Production and location work. Talent moves, crew runs, a vehicle on standby for the day.
Personal days. Medical appointments, house viewings, a long shopping day. Nothing corporate about it — you just want the car to be there.
Book the hours the day needs, not the hours you will be moving. A day with four appointments spread from 9am to 5pm is an eight-hour booking, even if only ninety minutes of it is driving. You are holding the driver.
Standard blocks:
Overtime is charged in 30-minute increments at the rate agreed when you book. Tolls and parking are passed through at cost.
Executive sedans for one to three passengers. Executive SUVs for up to six, or for three passengers who want more room. Both unbranded and unmarked — no livery, no roof sign, nothing that announces itself outside a client's building.
For something more visible, see our New York limousine fleet. For a single premium airport transfer rather than a whole day, executive black car and premium SUVs is the cheaper answer.
Every driver holds a current TLC licence. Getting one requires a defensive driving course, a medical examination, drug testing, and a criminal background check run through both New York State and the FBI. Vehicles are TLC-inspected and commercially insured. Our licence number is {{TODO_TLC_LICENSE}}.
Beyond the licence: our chauffeurs know which Midtown buildings have a usable kerb and which do not, which garage to use near Hudson Yards, and how long the Lincoln Tunnel really takes at 4pm. That knowledge is most of the value on a compressed schedule.
Send the itinerary — dates, start time, the addresses in order, and the passenger count. We will come back with the hours we think it needs and a rate for the block. If we think eight hours is over-booking it, we will say six.
Call (888) 652-7136 or use the form. For recurring or multi-day work, ask for a standing arrangement and you get the same driver and one point of contact.
Send the details and we come back with one number — no meter, no surge.
Chauffeur days routinely cross three boroughs before lunch. All five are covered.
If you only need one journey rather than a whole day, one of these will cost you less.

A car service takes you from A to B and the booking ends. A chauffeur is retained for a block of time — three hours, a day, a week — and stays with you throughout, waiting between stops, holding your bags in the car, adapting when the schedule slips. You are buying the driver's time rather than a journey. That is why chauffeur work is priced hourly and car service is priced per route.
Three hours for most bookings, which reflects the reality that a driver committed to your afternoon cannot take other work. Airport transfers and single point-to-point journeys have no minimum — but those are car service bookings, not chauffeur bookings, and they cost less. We will tell you which one your trip actually is.
Yes. One driver stays with the booking for its duration. On a multi-day booking we try hard to keep the same person throughout, which matters more than people expect — by day two they know your preferences, your bag, and which entrance you use. Where a driver-hours regulation forces a change, we tell you in advance rather than surprising you.
That is the entire point. Waiting time is included in the hourly rate — you are not charged extra for the two hours the car sits outside while you are upstairs. The driver keeps the vehicle nearby, and your luggage or materials stay in it, so you are not carrying things between appointments.
Yes. Investor roadshows, conference weeks, production schedules and visiting-executive programmes are regular work. Send the itinerary and we will price the block, allocate a driver who knows the route, and give you a single point of contact rather than a new booking each morning.
